***DUE TO THE SHORTAGE OF DRY MATERIALS, THIS WINE MAY TEMPORARILY BE DELIVERED IN GREEN GLASS***
With the rise of Cote de Provence rosé wines, Denis Marchais also wanted to add a rosé to his range. He chose the Syrah grape, which thrives in the Cote de Provence. He searched for vineyards situated at higher elevations where the grapes retained sufficient acidity for this delicious rosé. Well, he more than succeeded, a wine we could talk about for ages! Denis Marchais, like five hundred other winemakers, is affiliated with the trading house LaCheteau. Their extensive knowledge of southern French viticulture allows them to collaborate on exquisite wines. Thanks in part to the modern winery, this rosé is also meticulously crafted.
The Syrah grape for this rosé from Denis Marchais
The Syrah grape was the perfect choice for Denis Marchais, and the first vintage of this wine immediately yielded a rosé with great depth. The vineyards are now mature, providing the winemaker with a unique and powerful harvest. The sun is able to do its work, and the cool nights and morning dew provide ample refreshment for the harvest. The Syrah grapes mature evenly and are harvested at night at ideal ripeness. Upon arrival at Denis Marchais, the bunches are inspected and any unusable grapes are removed. This results in juice of unparalleled quality.
Lively and fresh this Denis Marchais Syrah Rosé
In the glass, it shimmers a beautiful salmon pink and offers refined aromas of red fruit. As we get closer, we also detect hints of cherries and a swarm of grapefruit. The palate is a pure delight, leaving the tongue with a pleasantly tingling mouthfeel. Beautiful, fresh flavors of strawberry and raspberry, along with hints of citrus, grapefruit, and spice. What a beautiful glass, and thanks to the Syrah grape, it has more than enough body and structure.
