Gamay wines from Domaine Anita
After a successful career as a professional cyclist, Anita decided to dedicate herself entirely to crafting top-quality Beaujolais wines. With great passion and dedication, she carefully selects the finest terroirs. The Gamay grape, in particular, plays a key role at the winery. Anita's passion for the craft is reflected in her wines. By destemming the grapes and using cement tanks, she creates wines with extra depth and character. Furthermore, she uses minimal sulfites, resulting in exceptionally rich and concentrated wines that reveal the full potential of the Gamay grape.
Domaine Anita Fleurie Poncie originates from the lieu-dit 'Poncié', a vineyard with pink granite subsoil and an altitude of 260 meters. The vines are an impressive 45 years old. All these factors influence the quality of the grapes. The Gamay grapes are harvested and selected entirely by hand at peak ripeness. Fermentation then takes place, with the whole bunches being transferred to tanks. This gives the wine a fruity and supple character. Finally, the wine is aged for another six months in cement tanks and then for a further three months in bottle. This ensures a perfect balance between fruity aromas and complex flavors.
