In the heart of the Beaujolais wine region, Domaine Anita was founded in 1976. The family-run estate currently owns 18 hectares of vineyards across various appellations. The vineyards are managed sustainably, with great respect for nature and the terroir. When you think of Domaine Anita, you immediately think of elegant and refined wines with a fruity character. The quality of each and every wine is paramount, and they work hard to achieve it. And with good reason, as they have already received numerous awards. The Morgan Prestige comes from a vineyard at an altitude of 260 meters, nestled in a subsoil of schist and rock. The vines here are a remarkable 60 years old, resulting in Gamay grapes with intense flavors and aromas. The grapes are harvested entirely by hand at peak ripeness. In the winery, 70 percent of the grapes are destemmed, after which fermentation takes place. During fermentation, the skins are pressed down daily to extract more flavor and tannins. The wine then matures for 11 months in oak barrels and another 3 months in bottle.
