Fruity Domaine Anita wines from Beaujolais
Located in the heart of the Beaujolais wine region, Domaine Anita was founded in 1976 by René and Anita Meziat. A true family business, their son Claude is currently at the helm. The estate covers 18 hectares of vineyards spread across various Beaujolais appellations, including Morgon, Fleurie, Chiroubles, and Chénas. The vineyards are situated on sandy and granite soils and are sustainably managed with respect for nature and the terroir. The estate is known for its elegant and refined wines, each with a fruity character.
The Premium Chenas Les Brureaux is produced from the oldest vines in the lieu-dit Les Brureaux. The vines are an impressive 50 years old and grow on sandy clay soil at an altitude of 265 meters. These are the perfect ingredients for the Gamay grape. When the grapes are perfectly ripe, they are carefully harvested by hand and brought to the winery. Half of the grapes are destemmed. During fermentation, the skins are pressed down daily to extract more flavor and tannins. The wine then matures for another six months in cement tanks, allowing it to develop further. Finally, the wine is aged in bottle for four months.
