A delightfully fresh rosé from Domaine d'Avrille. The blend consists of Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, which uniquely enhance each other. The wine boasts delightfully fresh, fruity flavors with a slightly sharper finish. It has become one of France's most well-known and popular rosés, thanks in large part to its mild and fruity character.
200 hectares of vineyards of Domaine d'Avrille
In 1938, Eusèbe Biotteau began making wine on his estate, which dates back to 1730. He passed on his love of wine to his son, and today, the fourth generation is at the helm. The vineyards are located in the Aubance Valley, a tributary of the Loire River. They own 200 hectares of vines, allowing for the cultivation of a wide variety of grape varieties. The Loire landscapes and its monuments have been recognized by UNESCO as being of Outstanding Universal Value. Moreover, the Loire, Europe's most eloquent river, flows here in a magnificent setting favored by the climate and its terroirs. The wines reflect this landscape, full of charm and delicacy.
The Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are planted on a slate terroir. The deep-rooted vines benefit from the fertile soil and impart a beautiful character. The grapes are harvested at peak ripeness and taken directly to the winery. A rigorous selection process takes place there, after which the grapes are immediately pressed. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks with a temperature control of 18 degrees Celsius. This allows for optimal extraction of the aromas, resulting in an accessible wine.
