This white wine, Domaine De La Renaudie, is made from Sauvignon Blanc grapes in the Touraine region. A true family winery, Patricia and Bruno Denis have been at the helm of its success for decades. Domaine De La Renaudie is a true success story. It all begins in the old Sauvignon blanc vineyard situated on the slopes of the left bank of the Cher River. The climate here is ideal for a top-quality glass of Loire Valley wine. With warm afternoons and cool nights, the Sauvignon Blanc grape ripens peacefully and calmly. Summers can be very hot, but fortunately, the old vines can absorb plenty of moisture thanks to the nearby river.
The old vineyard of Domaine De La Renaudie
The old vineyard is 40 years old and is currently producing a beautifully ripe harvest. Beautiful large bunches of Sauvignon Blanc hang beautifully in the warm Loire sun. At ideal ripeness, usually in mid-September, the grapes are harvested entirely by hand. Individually inspected, they are then transported in small crates to the press. A gentle and calm pressing follows, allowing the rich juice to flow into the barrels. "This careful and precise process results in beautiful results," explained Bruno Denis.
The smell and taste of the Renaudie Sauvignon Blanc
What a fantastic glass of wine, this Renaudie Sauvignon Blanc! It's no wonder it's one of our best-selling wines! The aroma is delightfully vibrant with abundant notes of gooseberry, citrus, green apple, and pear. The palate is truly superb, very juicy and flavorful. Lovely notes of gooseberry, lychee, and boxwood. Very round and with a long, dry, fresh finish! This wine is somewhat similar to a Sancerre, making it perfect with shellfish, provided you're eating it. But of course, you can also enjoy this white wine in the sun or on the sofa.
