Description
The sweet and sultry character of this Cotes de Gascogne Moelleux is world-renowned. Only in this part of France, the southwest, do they manage to create a wonderfully sweet white wine that's never too cloying. We're talking about none other than the phenomenal Moelleux wines.
This white Moelleux is made by the leading winery Domaine du Touch. Located in the small hamlet of Nogaro, about a two-hour drive from the bustling city of Toulouse. At first glance, Nogaro might not seem like it has much to offer. However, the soil proves to be a great success for typical Gascony grape varieties!
A sweet white wine from France
It's no wonder the family behind Domaine du Touch has been crafting impressive wines for three generations. The soil surrounding Nogaro is exceptionally well-suited to growing grapes. This vast region, the Codes de Gascogne, is also known for its sparkling, spectacular white wines, where the aromatic character is paramount. Domaine du Touch wines share this characteristic and have been a popular addition to our extensive webshop for years.Impressions of Domaine du Touch Cotes de Gascogne Moelleux
The foundation of this Cotes de Gascogne Moelleux is the plump, generous Gros Manseng. A grape variety that has become a benchmark for wines from the Codes de Gascogne region, it has become a key player in the Domaine du Touch vineyards, which cover an impressive fifty hectares. The Moelleux from Domaine du Touch is sweet and sultry, never too heavy. The pleasant aroma, which strongly hints at overripe peaches, already makes us very happy. The taste has a clear note of apricot, honey, and a hint of sweet nuts. Domaine du Touch Cotes de Gascogne Moelleux thus has a very broad flavor and bouquet, making this white wine incredibly popular.Product details
