The name of the cuvée refers to the hamlet "Bois Lombard" above the vineyards. The terroir is perfect, facing east-southeast, allowing it to be exposed to the wind. After being harvested by hand, this Staint Joseph Le Lombard is aged for a full eight months in oak barrels. This, combined with the aging on the lees, makes for a truly fantastic wine. Production is small, with only 11,000 bottles produced annually.
