An elegant port from one of the finest Port houses. The pride of Portugal, translated into a luxurious glass of Port. The history of Dow's Port House is characterized by hard work. It all began in 1798, over 200 years ago. Bruno da Silva, a Portuguese merchant by birth, found his fortune in London. He began importing Port, which proved a success. The British were incredibly charmed by this fortified wine. To this day, most Dow's Port is still exported to England.

The vineyards of Dow's Port

Dow's is located in the Douro Valley, where it owns dozens of hectares of vineyards. The grapes for Dow's 20-Year-Old Tawny Port are primarily grown in the renowned Quinta do Bomfim vineyard, located about a two-hour drive east of Porto. In this part of Portugal, the grapes grow perfectly for a high-quality Port. You can taste that immediately in Dow's 20-Year-Old Tawny Port. Five grape varieties are used for this Port, typical varieties that define Port. Tinta Barocca, Tinta Cao, Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca, and Touriga Nacional create a beautiful interplay. The Port is perfectly blended by Dow's port makers. The grapes know how to bring out the best in each other, ensuring the exceptional quality of this port.

This tawny port has been aged for an impressive 20 years. During this time, Dow's 20 Year Old Tawny Port has developed a magnificent aroma and flavor palette. The amber color immediately reveals its age. The aroma is intense and very present. Your nose is immediately seduced. Ripe fruit predominates, but a hint of honey is also definitely present. A single sip of Dow's 20 Year Old Tawny Port and you're in seventh heaven. This is how port should be. An elegant flavor of soft nuts, currants, and other ripe fruits.
