It was a big dream for the Dr. Zenzen winery to produce wines in the beautiful country of Moldova. Well, they've more than succeeded, as the vineyards have boomed in recent years, with the quality increasing dramatically. This is partly due to new insights into the vineyards, more modern winemaking techniques, and the wealth of knowledge of the Dr. Zenzen family. The label says "Heaven Can Wait," which we initially found odd until we tasted this white wine. Indeed, Heaven can wait a little longer, as this is a true masterpiece. It's a wine with an Italian twist, made from the delicious Pinot Grigio grape. A truly delightful wine, and at this price, it's a real treat.
The Pinot Grigio harvest in Moldova
Dreams's old vineyards are located in the Stefan Voda region, specifically in Cahul. The climate there is perfect for this Pinot Grigio: abundant sunshine allows the harvest to ripen perfectly. But also sufficient coolness from the wind and falling nighttime temperatures, which preserves the freshness of the grapes. The harvest is harvested entirely by hand and subject to strict controls. Dreams does this to maintain the purity of its wines. After a gentle pressing, the juice is aged for several months in Dreams' cellars to fully develop. The result? A uniquely smooth wine from Moldova.
The aroma and taste of the Dreams Pinot Grigio
Pouring this white wine awakens all our senses, beautifully clear with a green sheen. The aroma offers a broad, fruity note of green apple, ripe pear, lime zest, and passion fruit. The palate is ripe and full of abundant fruit—what a delightful glass of white wine from Moldova.
