The wines from France
Dry Oak Aged Grande Reserve didn't just happen. It was a process full of authenticity, creativity, and above all, character. The best of both worlds simply come together in this French wine. We stumbled upon Dry Oak Aged Grande Reserve almost by chance. Our oenologists love a little adventure, so they set off for one of Europe's vast wine regions: Languedoc-Roussillon, where every turn can reveal a new surprise. Our starting point was Narbonne, and via the most inhospitable back roads, we headed west to the medieval settlement of Carcassonne. However, along the way, we were in for a surprise. The French wine Dry Oak Aged Grande Reserve
In the idyllic setting between Bloms and Douzens, we saw the most beautiful vineyards. Here, we encountered winemaker Nicolas, who was hard at work in the impressive vineyards. He invited us in and impressed us with the fascinating story behind Dry Oak Aged Grande Reserve. The region is also known for its beef, which is often also dried. Nicolas wanted to create a wine that complements a delicious meat dish: beautiful cuts of meat that make your mouth water. Thus, Dry Oak Aged Grande Reserve was born: perfect with French meat dishes; but in fact, this wine pairs well with almost any fine red meat.Impressions of Dry Oak Aged Grande Reserve Red
The term Grande Reserve means that only the finest bunches are used for this red wine. It's a red wine made entirely from Syrah. Don't be put off, though: Nicolas has managed to temper the harsh character and created a wine that has depth but also softness. Plenty of dark fruit, but also a hint of cherry. The right dose of spice gives Dry Oak Aged Grande Reserve just that little bit of oomph, setting it apart from all other fine French wines.Product details
