What a superb wine, and a wonderful discovery for our wine buyers who recently enjoyed it at a Michelin-starred restaurant. Unfortunately, we're not allowed to disclose which top restaurant, but they serve this wine as a house wine. Our buyers were completely surprised by the quality and full flavor, and this wine was described as UNIQUE. This Dumanet is made exclusively from Viognier grapes, a very difficult grape to cultivate and well-known from Condrieu wine. But Dumanet has succeeded in creating a true gem for this price.
The old vineyard of Dumanet Viognier
The beautiful vineyards of Dumanet lie in the stunning hills of Languedoc-Roussillon. The climate is perfect for the Viognier grape, with warm summers and the cool breeze that blows through the vineyards. The soil structure is rich in limestone, clay, and gravel, which is ideal for the Viognier grape. With their deep roots, the grapes can absorb a great deal of moisture, which is essential, as summers can be very hot. After a long, uneventful growing season, the grapes are carefully harvested.
Dumanet Viognier made with love
All the love and smoothness is in this wine, and you can taste it. Its exceptionally pure and powerful flavors make it a feast from start to finish. As soon as you open the bottle, you'll smell a beautiful bouquet of apricots, acacia blossom, almonds, and fine white fruit, but above all, it's broad and complex. The palate of this Dumanet Viognier is rich and full-bodied with a mildly dry character, ripe hints of apricots, peaches, red apple, and a hint of grapefruit. The taste can be described as ripe and plump, soft and lush, slightly oily, and delightfully smooth. This white wine pairs wonderfully with a variety of dishes, such as salads, fish dishes, chicken, and, of course, pizza or pasta.
