This Gruner Veltliner is a light and fruity wine from the Dürnberg range. Despite its low alcohol content, it's a wine that certainly has character. The wine is aged in stainless steel tanks and bottled relatively early, making it easy to drink!

Enjoy the wines of Durnberg

With over fifty hectares of vineyards, the Dürnberg winery is one of the most important establishments in the Weinviertel region north of Vienna. The vineyards are cultivated close to nature, and yields are kept under control. The climate there is dry, the winters cold, and the summers warm. Winemaker Christopf Körner demonstrates the potential of this wine region every year in a modern style. Together with his two partners, Matthias Marchesani and Georg Klein, the "Weinviertler" offers complex, crystal-clear wines with great finesse, especially Zweigelt and Grüner Veltliner. Dürnberg wines combine everything one could hope for in an Austrian wine in the finest way. Around the town of Falkenstein, white grape varieties thrive, but reds like Zweigelt also yield excellent results. The grapes for this Gruner Veltliner come from cooler, higher-lying areas of the Birnhtal and Ackerweingärten vineyards. This allows Durnburger to harvest the Druner Veltliner grapes in early autumn, perfect for a light summer wine. Deep, loamy soil with good water retention produces wines with a spicy character and freshness. The grapes arrive in the cellar cooled, and after a short maceration, they are slowly destemmed and pressed. The must is also cool-fermented and matured for several months on the fine lees in stainless steel.
