Our vinologists can confirm that Durnberg's sparkling wines are at least as good as their flagship still wines. The grapes for Durnberg Sparkling Blanc de Blancs are grown on the Durnberg estate in Falkenstein, just north of Vienna. In addition to the well-planted Gruner Veltliner, Durnberg utilizes two other grape varieties: Riesling and Traminer. This gives this sparkling wine its own unique character. The grapes grow at a particularly high altitude, where daytime temperatures can be warm and nighttime temperatures can be quite cool. This is perfect for the grapes, which develop a rich flavor profile this way.
