Guigal Winery is a prestigious family-owned winery in the Rhône Valley, founded in 1946 by Étienne Guigal. It produces wine in various denominations in the north and south of the region and has been awarded 100 Parker points for several of its wines. The winery has 140 hectares of vineyards and has also been making its own barrels since 2003. The vineyards for this Hermitage have an average age of 35 years and are planted on soils consisting of clay loam and sandy gravel. A continental climate predominates in the area. The plots are harvested by hand and have an average yield of 40 hectoliters per hectare.
