Elevado Tinto Syrah Malbec

This beautiful Elevado winery, part of Salentein in Argentina, aims to demonstrate with this series that they can also produce affordable wines. It's no wonder this red Elevado is a popular house wine in many top restaurants; it's a true delight. The winery in Argentina grows its Syrah and Malbec grapes in Mendoza, where the conditions are slightly better for these red grape varieties. Elevado's vineyards are located in Mendoza and are unique, partly due to the climate. Malbec is grown more rurally in the area, while Syrah is grown closer to the Andes. These unique differences are clearly evident in this red wine: the abundant richness and finesse of the Malbec and the richness and power of the Syrah.

The Malbec and Syrah harvest

At perfect ripeness, the grapes are harvested in the early morning. While the grapes are still dormant, the conditions are perfect for the journey to the press. Here, they await a gentle pressing, and each grape variety is vinified separately to later create the Tinto blend. A unique process that tests the skill of Elevado's winemaker. The entire wine is aged in steel vats to preserve its freshness and fruitiness. Well, it certainly worked. The result is a unique red wine with a very smooth character.

The aroma and taste of the red Elevado Tinto

The deep, dark red color suggests this is a wonderfully full-bodied wine. The nose is full of aromas of ripe black fruit interspersed with dried plums and spices. The palate is full and powerful with soft tannins. The nuances of the black fruit combined with the spices create a perfect balance between fruit and power. The finish is wonderfully full.
