Description

The number one aperitif wine, made by one of Italy's finest wineries. Farina was founded in the early 19th century as a family business. Today, it remains a family winery. A unique situation in Veneto; no older winery is still family-run. Farina's mission is simply to produce good wines. Well, once you take your first sip of Farina Appasilento White, you know you've succeeded. A true delight to drink.

The vineyards of Farina for this white Appassilento wine

This family-run business is located in San Pietro, in the heart of Veneto. This wine region in northern Italy has, in recent years, become one of Italy's finest wine regions, offering accessible, good wines at excellent prices. Farina's vineyards are situated in some of the most beautiful locations in Veneto. Including the vineyards of friendly winemakers, Farina cultivates 45 hectares of vineyards in the rolling landscape of northern Italy. Farina crafts wines with a passion for nature, the grapes, and tradition, yet employs contemporary techniques. This combination has earned Farina a reputation as one of Italy's finest wineries for years.

Impressions of Farina Appasilento White

Farina Appasilento White is made with three grape varieties: international Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc, supplemented with indigenous Garganega grapes. After harvest, some of the grapes are dried, hence the name Appasilento. This drying process results in a refined, almost refreshing flavor. Your nose is teased with pleasant fruit notes such as apricots, Granny Smith, pineapple, and peach. A hint of citrus also reveals itself. The flavor is fuller than you might expect. Extremely smooth on the palate. You'll taste local fruit, apricots, citrus, and green apples. An excellent balance between fullness and fruitiness.
