What a beautiful Italian Lugana wine! This sparkling, fresh wine has even been named the best Lugana wine. And for good reason; thanks to the subtle notes that beautifully interplay, you have a truly high-quality wine in your hands. The Italian winery Feliciana prioritizes quality over quantity, and the clay soils on the rolling hills near Lake Garda create magnificent wines.
Manual harvest for Feliciana Lugana
Just south of Lake Garda lies the family-run Feliciana winery. Situated on the border of Lombardy and Veneto, this winery has approximately 14 hectares of land at its disposal. The vineyards are nestled in the beautiful Morenic hills. The soil is predominantly clay, giving the wines a wonderful freshness and complexity. As a medium-sized winery, everything is produced by hand.
The Trebbiano grapes are harvested by hand towards the end of September. This allows for rigorous selection in the vineyards themselves, allowing Feliciana to use only the finest quality grapes. The grapes are then transported directly to the winery where they are gently pressed. The resulting juice undergoes two weeks of alcoholic fermentation at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. The wine is then transferred to clean stainless steel tanks for malolactic fermentation and, finally, maturation on the fine lees.
Enjoy the elegant aromas of Feliciana Lugana
A shimmering, light golden yellow wine appears in the glass as soon as we pour this Lugana. Aromas of apple, peach, flowers, and lychee leap from the glass. Fresh and elegant aromas accompany you until the first sip. The palate offers subtle notes of lime, pear, and yellow plums, supported by a slightly spicy character. The finish is long with pleasantly fresh acidity that beautifully balances everything.
