The vinification process of Feudo Arancio Costa Rura Grillo Superiore

Founded in 1904, Feudo Arancia is located on the sun-drenched island of Sicily. The winery's name refers to the nearby Lago Arancio. Today, the winery is part of Mezzacorona, one of Italy's largest wineries. Acquired in 2001, it was in poor condition. The vineyards and winery were completely rebuilt. This allowed the winery to climb out of the doldrums and produce successful wines today. The Grillo grapes are harvested at night when they are optimally ripe. They are exposed to plenty of sunlight, which helps them maintain their acidity and achieve their delicious freshness. Once harvested, the grapes are gently pressed in the winery. The wine is then fermented in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures, allowing it to retain its freshness and minerality. Finally, the wine is left to mature on the lees.
