Description
The crown jewel in the incredibly refined Port House Feuerheerd's range. This port is the absolute cream of the crop, not only within Feuerheerd's, but within the entire port region. This perfectly aligns with the vision of Feuerheerd's, whose origins date back to the 13th century. At that time, the family was based in the Low Countries. After many wanderings, the family behind Feuerheerd's finally ended up in Portugal, where they founded the port house. Since 1815, for over 200 years, this house has been producing the most fantastic port wines. Currently, the 14th generation of this entrepreneurial family is at the helm, and the next generation is already eager to take over.
The old vineyards in Portugal
Because the Feuerheerds Port House has been active in the region east of Porto for two centuries, it has been able to amass numerous vineyards. The family owns a whopping 35 hectares. These vineyards are located in the most beautiful areas of the Port region, namely the Douro Superior Region. As a result, the grapes used for this Feuerheerd's 40 Years Old Port are of excellent quality. Classic grapes such as Touriga Nacional, Tinto Roriz, and Tinto Cao are used for this port. These grapes are legendary for their use in the finest ports worldwide. The smell and taste of Feuerheerd's 40 years Old Port
