Feuerheerd's Anchor Port has been a staple in our range for years. This Feuerheerd's Fine White Port is no exception. This delicious port is made from the classic port grapes Gouveio, Donzelinho, Viosinho, and Malvasia Fina. It's a beautiful blend of select young port wines, then aged in large oak barrels to preserve their youthful, fruity character. This method results in a very pleasant white port.

Wood aging for Feuerheerd's Fine White Port

The Van Zeller family is one of the best-known families in the port area and owns several renowned port houses, including Feuerheerds and Quinta Roriz. This family settled around Nijmegen and Mechelen, where they owned several buildings. During the Eighty Years' War, the family left the north for Portugal. Around this time, they invested in winemaking, particularly Port, which was a popular drink at the time. Today, they are one of the best-known families in the Port region and own several renowned Port houses. For the production of Feuerheerds Fine White Port, the grapes are rigorously selected after harvest. Only the finest juice is good enough. After maceration, alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks. This young port from Portugal is then aged for another twelve months in oak barrels.

The delicious aromas of this white Port

This Fine White Port from Feuerheerd's is pleasantly sweet. Its color is golden yellow with a slight green shimmer. The aroma is magnificent! Delightful aromas of white fruit, honey, and peaches. The taste is pleasantly sweet, but certainly not too sweet. Delicious nuances of peach, apricot, and honey. The finish is sultry, refreshing, yet delightfully sweet. This port is best enjoyed slightly chilled. Want to try something different with a white port? Try a large glass with some white port, tonic water, and fresh white fruit.
