A pure Monastrell, without compromises and without added sulfites. Finca Luzón Tinto Monastrell Orgánico Sin Sulfitos BIO 2024 is the most natural expression of Bodegas Luzón. This wine is made from grapes from Certified Organic Farming Vineyards in Jumilla and is completely vegan-friendly. By using only perfectly healthy grapes and meticulous cellar work, this wine is produced without any added sulfites. The result is a vibrant, unfiltered expression of black currants, spices, and sun-drenched power.
Vineyards and region
The vineyards are located in Jumilla, a warm region of Murcia where Monastrell thrives on the chalky, dry soils. The daytime heat is tempered by nighttime cooling at the higher elevations, allowing the grapes to retain their fruitiness. These conditions are ideal for working without added sulfites, as they contribute to the grapes' natural health.
Vinification and maturation
This wine is made without sulfites throughout the entire vinification process. To achieve this, only the healthiest grapes are selected. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 22 to 24°C and lasts 6 to 8 days. This is followed by a 5 to 10 day maceration, which extracts additional color, aroma, and structure from the skins. The wine is then aged without oak to fully express the pure fruit of Monastrell.

100% Monastrell – this late-ripening grape is characteristic of Jumilla and is known for its rich, spicy character and intense black fruit aromas.
Tasting notes and serving suggestions
Deep red with a purple glow. Plums, blackberries, and cherries dominate the aroma. The palate is powerfully fruity with sunny notes of black fruit, subtle spices, and a hint of balsamic vinegar.
Serving temperature: 16–18 °C
Goes well with: meatballs in tomato sauce, aubergine dish or grilled sausages.
