The Sauvignon grapes for this wine come from the Dolomiti wine region. A beautiful, unique vineyard of two hectares of flat land in a mountainous setting. Situated 550 meters above sea level, the vineyards benefit from an ideal microclimate.

The very young and modern winery Borgo Dei Posseri

Borgo dei Posseri was born from the passion and enthusiasm of friends Maria Marangoni and Martin Mainenti. They founded the modern winery in 2000 and quickly grew to over 225 hectares of vineyards, spread across 20 vineyards. Over time, they revolutionized their farm without compromising the identity of the area. Their focus was to enhance environmental variability (morphological, exposure, soil characteristics) through a range of grape-environment combinations to create wines with strong personality and originality. Special attention was paid to the use of pesticides combined with biological treatments and to the soil's natural function without the use of herbicides. The main varieties are Pinot Noir, Muller, Thurgau, Sauvignon, Gewürztraminer, Merlot, and Chardonnay.

Completely manual harvest of the Sauvignon grapes

It is produced exclusively from Sauvignon Blanc grapes and is harvested exclusively by hand in late September. After a gentle pressing, the grapes are fermented traditionally in white wine at a controlled temperature. The wine then matures for seven months in stainless steel tanks and a further period in the bottle before being released. This Furiel is straw yellow in color and immediately releases an intense and persistent bouquet. The aroma reveals hints of elderflower and passion fruit. The taste is full, savory, fresh, and long-lasting. Hints of apple, pear, and a touch of citrus also feature in this Furiel. It's a wonderful aperitif, but also delicious with dishes based on seafood, shellfish, and all types of fish.
