Gallo is a resounding success. The largest winery in the world, it's still family-owned. While they may have started small, brothers Ernest and Julio Gallo knew how to make it happen. They made strategic purchases of vineyards near Modesto, home to Gallo Family Vineyard. Today, almost 90 years after its founding, the fourth generation is at the helm. However, the entire family still works at Gallo Family Vineyards. That's precisely the strength of this multi-talented company: each family member has been able to make their own mark on the company. Gallo offers something for everyone. Gallo also produces one of California's best-selling Rosés: Gallo Family Grenache Rosé.
From Grenache grape to Grenache Rosé!
Gallo's vineyards are widespread. Around Modesto, a medium-sized city east of metropolitan San Francisco, there are dozens of hectares of grapes, including Grenache grapes. After harvest, the grapes are fermented. The skins are removed very early in the process, primarily because Grenache grapes release a lot of color. This allows the Gallo Family Grenache Rosé to retain its attractive color.
The sun begins to shine with Gallo Family Grenache rosé
This Gallo rosé is a true pleasure to drink. A true celebration. As soon as you pour the chilled Gallo Family Grenache Rosé, the summer feeling begins to bubble. Water droplets slide down your wine glass. A sun appears amidst the dark clouds. A summer breeze blows through your hair. Summer is coming! This wine also feels that way in its aroma and taste. Your nose is pampered with delicate aromas. Think of dried cranberries and watermelon. Small, delicate red fruit also tingles your nose. The palate is fruity yet fresh. You taste raspberries and cherries, but also strawberries and a hint of citrus. A very light sweetness completes the Gallo Family Grenache Rosé.
