Gérard Bertrand Art de Vivre Languedoc Rouge

A wine with a story, housed in a unique ceramic bottle that evokes the region's Roman heritage. Gérard Bertrand Art de Vivre Rouge is more than just a wine: it's an expression of the Southern French lifestyle, combining biodiversity, craftsmanship, and history. Crafted according to the principles of biodynamic viticulture, with respect for both people and nature.

Vineyards and region – terroir between hills and the Mediterranean Sea

The grapes grow in high-altitude vineyards in the Languedoc, where the warm Mediterranean climate is tempered by cool mountain winds. The soils consist of clay and limestone, resulting in a strong structure and deep aromatic development. The vineyards' location contributes to a beautiful freshness in this red blend.

Vinification and maturation – gentle extraction and subtle wood influence

The grapes are vinified separately in stainless steel tanks. Fermentation is followed by careful maceration to extract color, flavor, and structure. A portion of the wine is then aged in oak barrels, adding complexity and a refined spiciness without overpowering the fruit.

Grape composition

Syrah, Grenache, and Mourvèdre combine to create this classic Southern French blend. Syrah provides spice and concentration, Grenache elegance, and Mourvèdre adds structure and depth.

Tasting notes

The aroma opens with black cherries, blackberries, and a hint of laurel. The palate is powerful yet refined, with rounded tannins, a fruity core, and a mineral, slightly spicy finish.

Serving suggestions

Pair with grilled meats, Provençal dishes, or hard cheeses. Serve at 16 to 18 degrees Celsius for an optimal balance between strength and finesse.
