A full-bodied port with a rich aroma of ripe plums and black cherries, a full, well-structured flavor, and a long, juicy finish. Six Grapes Reserve Port is made primarily from grapes grown in the Quinta Dos Malvedos. At Graham's Lodge, purchased in 1970 by the Symington family, a number of "pipes" (barrels) were found marked with the distinctive cluster of grapes. Graham's Six Grapes Reserve Port was originally the Graham's family's "house port." The six grapes on the label are a kind of quality indicator, traditionally used by the family. The more grapes, the better, and six was the maximum. This port was preferably enjoyed by the family themselves. Unlike a Vintage Port, you can drink Six Grapes for about a month after opening to fully appreciate its quality.
