A personal favorite of our vinologist, this Reserva Branco Douro doc 'Grainha' is a pure explosion of flavor, showcasing the depth and detail of Portuguese wines. Refreshing with a firm bite, it's slightly tart with plenty of zesty acidity. White stone fruit blends with plump apricots and Granny Smith apples. The finish reveals the depth of Grainha Reserva White Quinta Nova with rich vanilla, fragrant mint, and oak. Highly recommended for those looking to venture off the beaten path. Enjoy it (not too cold) with a delicious tuna steak or poultry for the ultimate tasting experience.

A white wine from Portugal

The creator of this impressive wine is Quinta Nova. This winery is arguably the oldest and most important of Portuguese viticulture. It boasts a history of over 250 years and still uses its original cellar building, dating back to 1764. Formerly owned by kings, the estate has been owned by the large Amorim family since 1999. They have invested heavily in the winery over the past decades, and that investment is paying off today in superb wines.

The secret of Quinta Nova's wines lies in the winery's vineyards. The expansive estate, nestled in the heart of a UNESCO World Heritage site, is a feast for the eyes. Immaculately landscaped vineyards stretch as far as the eye can see, filled with locally sourced grapes, including those for the Reserva Branco Douro doc 'Grainha'. Here, indigenous varieties Fernao Pires, Gouveio, Rabigato, and Viosinho create a beautiful interplay. This excellent blend, combined with a special aging process in both French and Hungarian oak for seven months, results in a superb glass of white wine from Portugal.
