A top-quality Spanish wine, and organically vinified, too, but that's not always a given. For this red wine made from the Tempranillo grape, we travel to the Castilla la Mancha wine region in Spain. There, Green Trail's wild, old vineyards are filled with the red Tempranillo grape. There's also a tiny bit of Cabernet Sauvignon, but we'll get to that later. The vineyard has been designed with respect for nature, with flowers, fresh herbs, and roses planted among the vines to maintain a healthy biodiversity balance. Nature takes its course, and we see plenty of ladybugs and buzzing bees.
The harvest of the Tempranillo grape
The warm summers in the vineyards allow the grapes to mature very evenly and peacefully. Fortunately, there's also the cool wind, which is necessary for even ripening. Once ripe, some of the grapes are harvested by hand. The rest is harvested with a harvester, which takes place early in the morning. This prevents damage to the bunches and prevents oxidation. Upon arrival, the bunches are inspected by a whole team, and any unusable bunches are removed. This results in a wine of the highest purity.
The aroma and taste of the Green Trail Tempranillo
This red wine from GreenTrail is made from Tempranillo grapes with a touch of Cabernet Sauvignon for a touch of depth. These two blends have a wonderfully smooth, full-bodied yet incredibly soft aroma! The aroma reveals ripe black fruit, a touch of vanilla, and spice. The palate is smooth with a bite, rich in black fruit and a touch of spice, yet perfectly balanced!
