A personal favorite of our vintner. This Gusbourne Rosé simply demonstrates the power of craftsmanship, courage, and quality. The high quality and detailed craftsmanship create a sparkling wine we'll never forget. Gusbourne certainly has plenty of courage to offer. Gusbourne's vineyards are located in Sussex and Kent: indeed, the United Kingdom.

Wine from Great Britain

Europe boasts numerous successful wine-producing countries. Of course, you have the big three: Spain, France, and Italy. But Portugal, Austria, and Germany are also important to European viticulture, albeit to a lesser extent. But the United Kingdom? Especially with the cliché that it always rains here, winemaking won't be an easy task. However, thanks to climate change—unfortunately—it has been possible to grow grapes in the United Kingdom for several decades now.

Gusbourne was founded in 2004. It is located just south of Ashford, about 100 kilometers from Greater London, in the Duchy of Kent. The vineyards in Kent encompass a whopping 60 hectares. But Gusbourne also has a small vineyard—approximately 30 hectares—in Sussex, further southwest. The grapes used are remarkable. It's a trio that will instantly make any wine lover swoon: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier. A familiar pair, as these three grape varieties form the basis for the delicate French sparkling wine: Champagne!

What does the Gusbourne Rose Bubble taste like?

Thanks to the rich terroir, Gusbourne wines bear a striking resemblance to Champagne. Upon opening this bottle of Gusbourne Rosé, you'll be instantly captivated by its rich flavor. The soft pink color is a visual delight. The nose and palate seem to go even further, revealing soft red fruit. You'll discover overripe strawberries, refreshing cherries, and small red berries. But on the palate, Gusbourne Rosé is more than just that: it has a crispness. The refreshing acidity balances your palate. The creamy finish, made possible by the Chardonnay, is just one more touch that sets Gusbourne Rosé apart.
