Chardonnay lovers, take note! Looking for a pleasant Chardonnay, but this time without those heavy oak notes? Look no further because Heritage Chardonnay is exactly what you're looking for. The wines in the Heritage series come from the renowned Les Coullines du Bourdic, a winery that originated as a cooperative in 1928. That year, several friendly winegrowers joined forces. The goal was to offer perfect wines at a fair price. They've continued to achieve this to this day. The trophy cabinet continues to be filled annually with the finest awards for Bourdic wines. This Heritage Chardonnay has also won numerous awards.

Old vines for this Chardonnay wine

The vines on which the Chardonnay grapes for this delicious white wine grow have reached considerable age. This results in rich and powerful clusters. These vines are part of Bourdic's heritage, hence the "Heritage" designation. Because the vineyards are located in the south of France, the grapes receive ample sunshine, which is essential for proper ripening. They also receive the right cooling breeze from the sea. In short, perfect conditions for the grapes to mature. At the end of the growing season, the winemaker begins the harvest early in the morning. This early harvest makes the grapes more resistant to oxidation and any bruising on their way to the winery. After vinification, the wine is aged for several months in steel vats in Bourdic's cellars to gain more strength and suppleness.

The rich taste of the Heritage Chardonnay

The power and suppleness are clearly evident in this white wine. When we see this Chardonnay in the glass, we know immediately: that's Chardonnay! A beautiful golden yellow color with that recognizable oily layer on top. The aroma offers a broad bouquet of tropical fruit, with peach and pineapple predominating. There's also a light hint of nuts and a touch of vanilla. The palate is full and powerful, with a refreshing finish. Delicious! A versatile white wine that's perfect as a house wine but also a great accompaniment to fish dishes and summer salads.
