A beautiful, deep-red Spanish wine from the Alceno winery. The grapes are grown with great care and respect for nature in the valleys of southeastern Spain. Quality is paramount, and therefore the Garnache grapes are given ample time to ripen optimally. The result is a radiant wine, warm and sultry with a juicy flavor.
Careful vinification for Hilanda Garnacha Tintorera Jumilla
In 1870, Roque Martinez founded the Alceno winery. In the heart of Jumilla lie the beautiful, expansive vineyards where generations of high-quality wines have been vinified. Traditions are cherished and remain a part of the bodegas, but there is also room for experimentation, incorporating many new winemaking techniques. The winery was acquired in 2011 by the Bastida family, now in its fourth generation at the helm of Bodega Alceno.
The Garnache grapes are given the time to ripen optimally and develop their beautiful qualities. At peak ripeness, the grapes are carefully harvested and then undergo a rigorous selection process. After this selection, only the very best grapes remain for further vinification. The grapes are destemmed and carefully pressed. Alcoholic fermentation follows, followed by a few months of rest. The wine is then bottled in a stylish bottle. The temperature is constantly monitored throughout the entire vinification process. Oak is used for the aging process.
