Bodegas Valdemar is a family-owned winery whose origins date back to 1889. The current owner, Jesús Martínez Bujanda, began construction of the current winery in 1982. Modern facilities and innovative winemaking methods have been key features of the winery from the very beginning. The wines are made exclusively from grapes grown on the estate's own vineyards. This allows for close monitoring and control throughout the entire process, from vine to bottle, to select the finest grapes and market high-quality wines. This balanced white wine from Spain is made from the Tempranillo Blanco grape variety. At peak ripeness, the grapes for the Conde Valdemar Tempranillo Blanco Rioja are harvested exclusively by hand, without the aid of heavy-duty and less selective harvesting machinery. After harvesting, the grapes reach the winery as quickly as possible. Here, they are selected and carefully crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation is complete, the Conde Valdemar Tempranillo Blanco Rioja can continue to mature on its fine lees for several months.
