Invidious Wit

This beautiful Spanish winery was born out of the pure love and drive of two brothers. Born in Denmark, they both worked as winemakers around the world. They joined forces and began searching for a place to establish a modern winery. After a long search, they reached a consensus and found their happiness in Spain—specifically, Castilla La Mancha. Invidious' wines offer a rich depth while preserving Spanish tradition.

The harvest for the white Invidious

This white wine is made from Viura grapes, which make up 70 percent of the vine, along with some Verdejo and Sauvignon Blanc. All the grapes grow on old vines that have been planted for decades. It took a lot of work to get the grapes to shine as they do now, says the eldest brother. The climate is perfect, with the grapes receiving plenty of sunshine and plenty of coolness. The freshness is important, coming from the wind and the falling nighttime temperatures. This way, they retain their freshness and minerality, which is evident in this white wine.

What does the white Invidious wine taste like?

As soon as we opened the bottle, we immediately smelled a refined and clean aroma of lemon, ripe peach, and a hint of mint. In the glass, we saw a beautiful light yellow color with green glints. Nosing the glass, we noted impressions of green apple, passion fruit, lime, and some fresh green herbs. On the palate, the tongue was teased by fresh citrus fruit, with limes taking center stage. The finish offered a touch of gooseberry, asparagus, and a hint of ripe pear. A true thirst-quencher, and it's no wonder this white wine is often served in top restaurants.
