A white wine made from a blend of indigenous Douro varietals from vineyards over 90 years old. The Douro White is mineral and fruity, with a predominance of citrus notes, and has been aged for 10 months in French oak barrels. Pure Douro where the terroir is more than evident, a collaboration between the creative minds of Rita Marques and Marc Kent.
The high quality of Invincible wines
Experienced winemakers Rita Marques and Marc Kent decided to join forces years ago and have since collaborated on various wine projects. In 2020, while everyone was gripped by the pandemic, they decided to embark on a new path. They jointly purchased a vineyard in Casais do Douro, where they jointly released their first wine. The wines are called Invincible Numero Dois, under which a white and a red wine have been released. As is customary with these two, the quality is unprecedented, as is their drive. The wines have striking labels that represent the battle between Adamastor and the Portuguese sailors during the Age of Discovery. The vineyards are situated on impressive terraces along the river, where the deep-rooted vines enjoy the perfect climate.
The grapes are harvested with the utmost care at peak ripeness, and quality is rigorously controlled in the winery. Once arrived at the winery, a further selection takes place. After crushing and pressing, the juice undergoes fermentation, after which the wine is aged for 10 months in French oak barrels.
A complex creamy white wine from Invincible
This white Douro wine has a straw-yellow color in the glass with greenish reflections. The aromas leap from the glass and are exciting, with hints of citrus fruit and a fine minerality. On the palate, this white wine is complex, creamy, and round, thanks in part to its extended oak aging. This fruity wine pairs easily with various dishes but is also irresistible on its own.
