A beautiful interplay of the Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca, and Touriga Nacional grape varieties. These local grapes come from 30-year-old vines and have each developed unique characteristics. This is a structured wine with complex flavors and aromas.
Quality wines from Invincible
Experienced winemakers Rita Marques and Marc Kent decided to join forces years ago and have since collaborated on various wine projects. In 2020, while everyone was gripped by the pandemic, they decided to embark on a new path. They jointly purchased a vineyard in Casais do Douro, where they jointly released their first wine. The focus is on quality, which, as these two are known for, is always exceptionally high. The vineyards are situated on impressive terraces along the river, where the deeply rooted vines enjoy the perfect climate. The grapes are harvested at optimum ripeness and immediately brought to the winery. They are then sorted and gently pressed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. Finally, the wine is aged for approximately 16 months in oak barrels for added complexity. The wine is bottled and given a special label. The labels represent the battle between Adamastor and the Portuguese sailors – a nod to history.
A complex and powerful Number One Red
The long wait is rewarded with this red wine from Invincible. In the glass, aromas of cherries, blackberries, and other fruity nuances await. The palate initially has an elegant, dry flavor. Complex in flavor and aroma with just the right amount of tannin. Beautifully balanced with a powerful and complex finish that completes the tasting experience. A perfect pairing with meat dishes, game, or aged cheeses.
