Description
Jean Leon's 3055 Rosé is more than just a wine; it tells the story of Jean Leon's adventurous past as a taxi driver in America with license number 3055. After a successful stint in the US, he returned to Spain with a dream: to create exceptional wines. Since 1963, he has been realizing this dream in the Penedès region of northwest Spain. Jean Leon was a pioneer, the first to introduce non-native grape varieties to Spain. This bold choice has resulted in unique wines like this elegant rosé.
The Historic Vineyards of Jean Leon 3055
The vineyard planted in Penedès in 1963 is now mature and produces excellent Pinot Noir grapes, the basis for Jean Leon 3055 Rosé. Situated at an altitude of 500 meters, the vineyard offers a cool climate ideal for Pinot Noir. The grapes enjoy ample sunshine during the day, while the cool climate ensures a slow ripening process and a refreshing note in the rosé. This unique combination has resulted in a rosé that stands out from other Spanish rosés.Tasting notes for the Jean Leon 3055 Rosé
The color is the first thing that strikes you: a delicate pale pink hue reminiscent of a Provence rosé. Upon opening the bottle, we are greeted by refined aromas of both red and white fruit, such as peach and apple. On the palate, the wine is a harmony of freshness and fruitiness, with flavors of strawberry and raspberry dancing on the tongue. The finish is refreshing and summery, leaving you wanting another sip.Product details
