 The beginning of Jordan Winery
To begin the story of Jordan Winery, we have to go back at least 300 years. Gary Jorden's parents purchased an estate in the Stellenbosch region in 1982. Thanks to extensive soil analysis, each grape variety was planted in the optimal location for it. Since 1993, son Gary and his wife Kathy Jordan have taken over the management. The special thing about Jordan wines is the perfect balance between natural characteristics and innovative winemaking techniques. At Jordan Winery, these two go hand in hand, and this is reflected in the quality of Jordan wines.

This red wine is made from 20-year-old Cabernet Sauvignon vines. The vines are planted on slopes 200 to 240 meters above sea level. Thanks to the sea breezes from the Indian and Atlantic Oceans, the Cabernet Sauvignon grapes ripen perfectly and evenly. The grapes are carefully harvested at peak ripeness. At the winery, fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats. Afterward, the wine macerates for a long time on the skins, after which the grapes are pressed. Malolactic fermentation takes place in barrels. Finally, the wine is aged for 18 months in new and used French oak barrels.
The firm structure of Jordan The Long Fuse Cabernet Sauvignon

The aromas of blackberry and cassis are evident on the nose, complemented by hints of vanilla thanks to the oak aging. The palate develops a firm structure with ripe tannins. The vanilla notes are also clearly evident on the palate. This is a round, powerful wine that pairs perfectly with many meat dishes, spicy dishes, or light cheeses.
