Khipu is derived from Quipu, the Inca communication device consisting of a string tied with knots. Only a few decades ago did the purpose of this mysterious object become clear. The knotted strings are also featured on the label of the Khipu Zinfandel Rosé.

Khipu's vineyards are located in Chile's Central Valley, where the grapes ripen peacefully in diverse climates. This Chilean rosé is made with the Zinfandel grape, better known in Italy as Primitivo. This grape thrives in warm, sunny climates, so the Zinfandel grapes for Khipu are planted in sunny, warm conditions. The soil on which the vines grow consists of gravel and clay, perfect for Zinfandel. The grapes are harvested entirely by hand, ensuring that only the finest fruit makes it into the wine. Aging takes place in stainless steel vats to preserve the delightful freshness that characterizes this Khipu rosé.

This rosé has a beautiful color, slightly darker than a Provence rosé, but certainly not too dark.
