Our vinologists are always searching for new, successful wines that we can refine to perfection. Our favorite country for these searches is undoubtedly Italy. This country boasts a wide variety of wines. During one of our trips to Italy, we drove across the Brenner Pass and stumbled upon the Kreyss winery. A hidden gem from Alto Adige, which we now want to introduce to the general public. And given the sky-high quality of Kreyss wines, that audience could well grow considerably.
The Kreyss wine from Italy
Kreyss is located in northern Italy in the province of Alto Adige. The inhabitants of this autonomous region sometimes call it South Tyrol, due to the long-standing dispute between the then-superpowers Austria and Italy. While the area has long been under Italian control, Austrian influence has not yet disappeared. German is still spoken and written everywhere; approximately two-thirds of the inhabitants still consider German their native language.
This influence is also clearly visible in the Kreyss vineyards. The crisp, white grape varieties, characteristic of German wines, are particularly well represented. International varieties like this Sauvignon Blanc are also well represented. Thanks to the unique terroir and climate, this Sauvignon Blanc is a refreshing paradise to enjoy over and over again.
The aroma and taste of Kreyss Sauvignon Blanc
This Italian white wine is striking for its complex and rich character. Kreyss Sauvignon Blanc is a glass that never gets old. Your senses are tickled by exuberant aromas of fig and nettle. A sultry note of elderflower and pleasant acidity stimulate the tip of your tongue. A well-balanced glass of white wine that is highly recommended for gastronomy. Enjoy Kreyss Sauvignon Blanc with seafood, lobster, or even asparagus for this ultimate wine-and-food experience.
