The story of La Chablisienne begins in 1923, when several winegrowers joined forces to overcome the economic difficulties of the time and created a cooperative cellar in the heart of the Chablis vineyard in Burgundy. Until the mid-1950s, the members delivered their production to La Chablisienne, which then handled the blends and sold primarily to wholesalers. La Chablisienne then decided to harvest the grapes as must, a characteristic that would become the hallmark of the house and allow for total control over the winemaking process. The result is high-quality wines that are highly sought after both nationally and internationally. The vines are planted on Kimmeridgian and clay-limestone soils. The vines average 25 years of age and are located in a premier cru vineyard on the right bank of the Serein River in the commune of Chablis-en-Fleys.
