This wine is one of Tedeschi's most powerful! A Bordeaux-like blend, what a treat! The La Fabriseria Valpolicella Classico Superiore DOC from the Tedeschi winery is a cru from the vineyard of the same name in the heart of the Valpolicella Classico.
Long-term wood aging for La Fabriseria Valpolicella
Over the years, the Tedeschi family has become a renowned name in wines made from dried grapes. This is a unique technique used to give wine extra character. Their goal is to achieve absolute excellence in dry red wines made from grapes without any form of drying or Ripasso—a technique in which dried grapes are fermented on the skins. This La Fabriseria is the result. Only the very best grapes are used for this wine.
Originally, the Red La Fabriseria was intended to be an international-style wine, but then the Tedeschi family decided to settle in the region. The cuvée is composed of the grape varieties Corvina (35 percent), Corvinone, and Rondinella, each with 30 percent and Oseleta 35 percent. The grapes are overripe in mid-October, after which they are harvested, destemmed, and pressed. Alcoholic fermentation takes place for thirty days at a controlled temperature, after which the wine is aged for 24 months in Slavonian oak barrels. After bottling, it is aged for another six months in bottle. The La Fabriseria Valpolicella Classico Superiore is a wine with excellent aging potential.
Enjoy a characteristic red wine from Tedeschi
In the glass, this Valpolicella Classico is an intense ruby red, clear, and translucent. La Fabriseria Valpolicella Tedeschi's aroma offers a beautiful bouquet of sweet, ripe blackberry, cherry, and currant fruit, along with a rich array of plums, vanilla, and wood. These aromas give the wine its freshness. La Fabriseria displays a rich and balanced structure, with concentrated and powerful tannins. The palate is rich and full-bodied, again with cherries and blackberries, but also a perfect balance of currants, plums, wood, and vanilla. A true gem of a wine, with an indescribable finish.
