10 months of wood aging for La Négly La Falaise Blanc

Renowned worldwide and awarded numerous times by wine journalist Robert Parker: the wines of la Négly. Located in the immediate vicinity of the La Clape Mountains, the largest nature reserve in the Midi, Château de la Négly is situated in France's largest wine-growing region, the Languedoc. The vineyards offer excellent conditions for viticulture. The region's characteristic clay-limestone soils are very nutrient-rich and have the ability to store solar heat and water, returning it to the plants when needed. The Mediterranean influence ensures that cool breezes balance the temperatures. Jean Paux-Rosset has run Château de la Négly since 1992 and cultivates 50 hectares of vines planted with the typical grape varieties of southern France. At peak ripeness, the grapes are harvested entirely by hand and taken almost immediately to the cellar to prevent oxidation. Here, the grapes are rigorously selected and sorted. Any grapes that are not ripe enough are discarded. Traditional vinification follows, followed by 10 months of aging in French oak barrels.

This La Falaise Blanc erupts golden yellow in the glass. As the glass fills, it releases aromas of yellow fruit, lychee, almond, and pistachio. This aroma carries through to a powerful palate with distinct woody notes thanks to the oak aging. It finishes with a creamy finish.
