NOTE: This Jeroboam bottle is a large one, holding 3 liters. Isn't this La Vie en Rose from Château Roubine's Cotes de Provence a beautiful rosé? We love the bottle itself, but the contents are also a feast for the eyes, we promise. A rosé made from 50 percent Grenache, 40 percent Cinsault, and 10 percent Syrah. Each grape contributes to this top-notch rosé, as each is important in its own right.

Top wines with a worldwide reputation

Situated in the heart of Provence, between Lorgues and Draguignan, Château Roubine is one of France's oldest wine estates. Founded in 1307, it boasts a rich history. The location is ideal, and the soil structure is exceptional. In 1953, the Ministry of Agriculture awarded the estate the title "Cru Classe," a prestigious distinction for vintage wines. The vineyard's history is marked by the coat of arms of the Knights Templar: first the Dragon, symbol of the town of Draguignan, then the Lion representing Lorgues, sheltered by the Provence sun. The owner, Mrs. Roubine, and her team know how to utilize nature's best to produce top-notch wines with a worldwide reputation. Due to the heat of late summer, the grapes are harvested at night. In the press, the grapes are macerated and fermented at a low temperature, preserving the wine's freshness. The entire process takes only a few hours.

The beautiful bouquet of Roubine La Vie en Rose

The color is salmon pink, which is what we're accustomed to from the Cotes de Provence region. On the nose, this "La Vie en Rose" has hints of freshly mown grass, flowers, old roses, and abundant soft red fruit. The palate is delightfully aromatic, with a beautiful bouquet of strawberry, raspberry, and lavender, along with a touch of fennel, anise, and grapefruit on the back of the tongue. What a superb rosé, and one that deserves a lot of awards; despite receiving 87 points from Wine Enthusiast and a gold medal at the competition, it certainly deserves a mention.
