The name La Villette has a fascinating history. La Villette is an old Parisian neighborhood from which all of Paris was once supplied with wine and food. This was done by boat or horse-drawn carriage. The La Villette Pinot Noir label also refers to this. The river on which the boats sailed with supplies is depicted on the label. La Villette wines are made using the Vin de France label. This means that grapes from different regions may be blended together. La Villette Pinot Noir is made from 100% Pinot Noir grapes. The vineyards for this delicious red wine are located at the foot of the Pyrenees, where the climate is perfect for Pinot Noir. A wonderful balance between warmth and coolness.

La Villette Pinot Noir is a resounding success. Aged for over six months in oak, this red wine develops a beautiful, subtle body. The color is bright red with a beautiful purple sheen. The aroma is magnificent. All the aromas are perfectly balanced, including raspberry, blueberry, plum, and a touch of toasted oak and vanilla. The palate is perfectly smooth. Rich nuances of ripe red fruit interspersed with subtle spices and licorice. The finish is even worthy of a Burgundy! Enjoy this red wine slightly chilled.
