We can no longer imagine our La Villette winery without it. This also applies to the latest addition to the La Villette series: La Villette Sauvignon Blanc. The name La Villette has a fascinating history. La Villette is an old Parisian neighborhood from which all of Paris was once supplied with wine and food. This was done by boat or horse-drawn carriage. The label of this wine bottle also refers to this. The river on which the boats sailed with supplies is depicted on the label. La Villette wines are made using the Vin de France label. This means that grapes from different regions may be blended together. The grapes for this crisp white wine come from four terroirs: the Hérault plain provides fruitiness and roundness, the Gard and the Aude valley bring more complex aromas to the wine, and the eastern part of the Aude, a cooler region, adds freshness.
