Lapis Luna's wines are truly eye-catching. The cheerful labels alone make a Lapis Luna wine more than worth it. The winery has redeveloped undiscovered vineyards throughout California, using the grapes that best express their potential. The gems in Lodi were planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, a true star of Californian wines.
The wines of Lapis Luna
Lapis Luna Winery, founded in 1999, has a slightly spiritual slant. Lapis Luna means "Stone Moon." Lapis Luna believes in the incredible power of the moon and that its position influences everything that happens on Earth (stone). Lapis Luna's exceptional faith in nature is reflected in the successful wines they produce. Moreover, every Lapis Luna wine label tells a timeless story with the moon as its main character, as is the case with this Lapis Luna Cabernet Sauvignon Lodi.
Impressions of Lapis Luna Cabernet Sauvignon Lodi
Winemaker Nicole Walsh is responsible for the Lapis Luna wine. She has also impressed with this Cabernet Sauvignon. A pure, high-quality wine, where natural conditions are optimally utilized. After the respectful harvest and fermentation, the juice is aged in oak. For 10 months, the juice matures in a mix of new and used French oak. This gives Lapis Luna Cabernet Sauvignon Lodi depth while maintaining its velvety character. This Lodi wine surprises in both aroma and taste. Think of rich, dark fruit like ripe plums. A subtle hint of spice is also easily discernible. Combined with soft blueberries and ripe cherries, the flavor of Lapis Luna Cabernet Sauvignon Lodi is perfect.
