Description
Le Grand Noir GSM Pays d'Oc
A Southern French blend with character. Le Grand Noir combines Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre into a ruby-red wine with spicy notes and plenty of black fruit. The style is full-bodied without being heavy, just what you want for a glass with stew or strong cheeses. What does GSM mean? A classic Southern French blend of Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre, each with its own distinct role in fruit, spice, and structure.
Vineyards and region
The grapes come from France, Languedoc-Roussillon, within the IGP Pays d'Oc. The sunny southern coast produces ripe blackberries and black cherries, while Mediterranean influences provide freshness and a peppery note on the finish.
Vinification and maturation
Made in an expressive, fruit-driven style, the spiciness remains clear and the structure feels refined. Mourvèdre provides extra backbone, making the wine powerful yet balanced.
