Le Prestige Chardonnay, from the magnificent Bourdic estate, is the winery's flagship wine. For years, it has been the estate's best-selling white wine. This is partly due to the expertise and grapes available within the estate. It's a cooperative with no fewer than 100 members, giving Bourdic a large supply of grapes. For Le Prestige Chardonnay, the estate can afford to select only the finest, fullest, and best bunches of Chardonnay.

The best white wine from Bourdic

The vineyards for this delicious white wine are located on the beautiful hills surrounding Nîmes. Bourdic boasts an impressive 1,600 hectares of vineyards, spread across 10 communes. Each vineyard has its own specialty. However, the finest vineyards are used for the production of this Le Prestige Chardonnay. The vines for this white wine are all quite old, known as "Vielles Vigne." This significantly reduces the yield, but significantly increases the quality. After the harvest, which takes place under strict supervision, the grapes are fermented. This Chardonnay is then aged for several months in oak barrels.

The aroma and taste of the Le Prestige Chardonnay

Pouring Le Prestige immediately reveals its golden yellow color, making our mouths water. It also releases delightful aromas of cream, tropical fruit, and a subtle hint of vanilla. A characteristic Chardonnay wine that we're falling in love with. The oak aging gives this white wine a wonderfully full and creamy texture with notes of mango, peach, nectarine, yellow cream, and a touch of licorice. The finish is full and intense, perfectly balanced by a subtle acidity. With this Le Prestige Chardonnay, Bourdic demonstrates that it remains one of the leading wineries in the south of France.
