This wine is about to change its label. Every wine lover is familiar with the wines of Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite). For years, they've been producing top-notch wines that sell out every year. The name Lafite comes from the term "la hite," which means "little hill." Over the years, the winery has gained immense fame and expanded its vineyards. The winery has broadened its expertise and now has several vineyards, including one in the Medoc, for this Legende wine. Domaines Barons de Rothschild is working hard to produce affordable wines while preserving the Rothschild family roots.
The old vineyard of Legende in Medoc
Nestled in the heart of the Médoc wine region are the Legende vineyards, and they are in magnificent condition! The Médoc from the Legende collection benefits from the same care as the house's first wine: strict selection, extreme precision in the winery, with meticulous specifications, reduced yields, impeccable ripeness and purity of fruit, and traditional aging. This blend of specifications contributes to the unparalleled quality of the Legende Médoc. This red wine is primarily made with Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, along with a touch of Merlot. The grapes grow in a perfect climate with abundant sunshine and a fresh breeze from the Gironde River. After harvest, the wine is partially aged for at least nine months in oak barrels. The finest barrels of the highest quality are stored in the cellars of Domaines Barons de Rothschild, giving this red Médoc an extra touch of finesse.
Full and very powerful this Legende Medoc Rothschild
This Legende is a beautiful, classic Medoc, full-bodied and ripe with refined, light tannins. As soon as the cork is removed, we smell powerful nuances of black fruit and oak aging. In the glass, it turns dark red with a purple rim, a hallmark of a top-class Medoc. It has classic aromas of black fruit, plums, cedar, and vanilla. The palate is equally classic, with refined tannins and plenty of black fruit, supported by notes of pepper, vanilla, and oak.
