Lieubeau Muscadet Cuvée Classique is a wine made from Muscadet grapes. These grapes come from select vineyards in the Loire Valley, just north of the Maine River. The vines are approximately twenty years old and planted on granite soil. This winery proves that it is possible to produce high-quality wines on a large estate. A deep respect for terroir is the guiding principle of these winemakers. They not only use the latest techniques but also combine them with passion and tradition.
Affordable quality wines from Lieubeau
Pierre and Chantal Lieubeau founded their estate in 1982 with just 5 hectares at Château Thebaud, right in the heart of the Muscadet appellation. Today, the estate has grown to 70 hectares through the acquisition of a beautiful series of old vineyards, whose low yields concentrate their top Cru bottlings. Their goal is to make wines that are food-friendly, terroir-driven, and worthy of ageing.
In recent years, the Muscadet wine region in the Pas Nantais has been growing rapidly. The selection of affordable, high-quality wines is constantly expanding, all boasting exceptional purity and terroir reflections. Francois Lieubeau produces a progressive and impressive range of Muscadets, as well as wines from Folle Blanche, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir.

The grapes are rigorously selected, and then briefly macerated. The juice is then fermented at a low temperature in stainless steel tanks, where the wine matures for another three months. After three months, the wine is bottled and released. The wine has a lemon yellow color with a greenish hue in the glass. The aroma of this white wine is wonderfully fresh with mineral notes and refined citrus aromas. On the palate, the wine is refreshing with beautiful nuances of lime, orange, and lemon, along with refined mineral notes. It pairs perfectly with pasta with clams or mussels.
